Aunt Korin, my mother's sister, was born in 1923, in Bursa, Turkey, to Kadem and Salamon Benardete. Her other name was Kalo. She had three brothers (Mair, Nisim and Yosef) and four sisters (Roza, Sara, Vito and Inez).

She married Uncle Vitali (Haim) Habib in 1943, in Istanbul. They had three children: Luisa, Flora and Robert.

The family lived in Istanbul, in Kuledibi (a neighbourhood populated mainly by Jews in the 1950's).

Aunt Korin and Uncle Vitali made Aliyah to Israel in 1965 and settled in Raanana.

Aunt Korin widowed in 2002.

In 2012 she lost her son Robert.

Aunt Korin passed away on August 20, 2013, in Tel Aviv. Her grave is in Kfar Nahman New cemetery, Raanana.
